I’ve enjoyed being a paid member of HBRC since 2016. We have a lot of fun! I proposed & ran the line maze challenge for 3 years, and organized our first BotNic in 2019 to host our own Robomagellan event.

I’ve also been intrigued with robotic arms, and have built two so far, with a third in planning. I’ve also built two low cost gripper designs.

For fun I give all my robots evil names, generally (but not always) starting with the letter B. Ben was my first real bot, Blackbeard is my Magellan bot, and Bile is my tablebot. You get the idea. =)

I’m working on a dog bot named Cujo, and a floorbot named Reflux, so there are exceptions. =)

I also dabble in writing my own video games, but there’s never enough time. When I’m coding (bots or games) I like to listen to either Classical music or Hawaiian slack key guitar.
