Al was a maker for quite a few decades before the folks at Make Magazine coined the term. Al’s career has mainly been focussed on business software development in a number of industries including finance, insurance, telecommunication and e-commerce. In order to get those systems running he has delved into all aspects of procuring, configuring and maintaining computers and network equipment. In his spare time, al has been an electronics hobbyist since the days of vacuum tubes and has most recently been building autonomous robots.
