Hello everybody,
An early reminder that next week is November's meeting (a week earlier than usual because of Thanksgiving).
Sam, our speaker, needs a volunteer with a truck to help transport his robots. (He lives 1 mile from Google, so it should not be far out of the way.)
Any takers?
Info on the presentation is below.

by Sam Waldbaum
Development of Lunar Excavation Robots for the NASA Centennial Challenges by Sam Waldbaum. NASA's series of ongoing Centennial Challenges have included three Regolith Excavation Challenges in '07, '08, and '09. The challenges were centered around excavating as much lunar soil simulant as possible in 30 minutes, competing mainly for robotics glory and an ancillary prize purse of $750,000. Sam Waldbaum competed in the '08 and '09 competitions as the sole member of Team Waldbaum, placing 3rd in 2008, and coming painfully close to the prize money in '09. Sam will bring in the remotely controlled, '09 excavator and what remains of the fully autonomous (but partially canniballized) '08 excavator for a demo. Pictures/Videos of the excavators and other robotic projects can be found at http://www.TeamWaldbaum.com
Note: This meeting is being held at Google (See front page note). 1501 Salado Drive (Google West Campus Building 2 GWC2) Mountain View, CA
